About: Resume

I got my first camera, a square, black Brownie Box, for my tenth birthday. Many frames later, I landed my first job as a photojournalist. Meanwhile, I learned all I could about photography while paying the bills with a lot of “interesting” jobs, including camp cook, spice cooperative warehouse manager and taxi driver. Now, after stints as a full time staff photojournalist with the St. Cloud Times, the Des Moines Register and the News & Observer (Raleigh, North Carolina), I’ve come home to Minnesota and started my own photography business. I specialize in documentary photography for editorial, educational and corporate clients; wedding photojournalism; event coverage and portraits -- human and canine.
